Waite-Smith 塔罗(1909)
Three of Swords
The Three of Swords shows three swords piercing a heart, rain falling. It is the card of heartbreak — sorrow that is plain and not disguised.

正位牌义
Removal, absence, delay, division, rupture, dispersion, and all that the design signifies naturally, being too simple and obvious to call for specific enumeration.
逆位牌义
Mental alienation, error, loss, distraction, disorder, confusion.
这张牌在做什么
It represents grief made visible: the pain of loss or betrayal. It appears at the moment feeling breaks. The rain is honest; the heart will mend, but not by pretending.
文化与传统的读法
In the traditional reading the Three is removal, separation and dispersion. It has long been read as rupture and division, and by reversal as mental alienation, error and loss. The swords are through; the feeling is named.
取决于你当时的感受
- If you grieve: let the heart be pierced, then heal.
- If you lost: the sorrow is real, name it.
- If you hide: the rain falls anyway.
值得想一想的几个问题
- What loss am I refusing to feel?
- Is this heartbreak, or just surprise?
- What would healing require me to admit?
常见问题
Is the Three of Swords always terrible?
It is heartbreak and sorrow, yes. But it names the pain plainly — and naming it is the first step toward mending.
Three vs Five of Cups?
The Three is the heart pierced now; the Five is grief over what was spilled. One is the wound, the other the mourning.
