Short version: use it, enjoy it, do not abuse it, and do not treat the reading as a diagnosis. The long version follows.
1. Accepting these terms
By using Dream Memos you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.
2. What the readings are — and what they are not
A Dream Memos reading is a reflective, cultural and psychological lens on a story you told us. It is generated by an AI model, it is different every time, and it is meant for entertainment, journaling and self-reflection.
It is not medical, psychiatric or psychological advice, it is not a diagnosis, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. If a dream is troubling you, or if you are struggling with your mental health, please talk to a real clinician. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency services immediately.
3. Who may use it
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use Dream Memos with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
4. Your content stays yours
You keep ownership of everything you write. To operate the service we need permission to process it — specifically, to store your dream and its reading, and to send the dream text to our AI model provider so a reading can be produced. That permission lasts as long as we hold the record, and ends when you delete it.
If you publish a post to the Dream Plaza, you additionally grant us permission to display that text publicly alongside your chosen nickname, and to show it to other visitors. You can revoke this at any time by unpublishing or deleting the post.
You are responsible for what you write. Do not put other people's private information into a dream you publish.
5. Acceptable use
When using Dream Memos, you agree not to:
- break any law, or use the service to harass, threaten or defame anyone;
- post sexual content involving minors, or any content that exploits or endangers a child;
- post content that promotes self-harm, or that gives instructions for harming yourself or others;
- attempt to bypass the rate limits, the content checks, or the account system;
- scrape the site, resell the service, or run automated bulk requests against it;
- upload malware, or otherwise attack the service or its users.
We may remove content, and suspend or close accounts, when these rules are broken.
6. Free use, paid passes and limits
Dream Memos is free to use, and everything that is free today — readings, your journal, the symbol dictionary, the full export — stays free. Free use is subject to rate limits per minute, per hour and per day, which exist to keep the service available for everyone; we may change those limits.
Pro is sold as a one-off pass, not a subscription: you pay once for a period of 30 or 365 days, or once for a pack of dream-image credits. Nothing renews automatically and no card is charged again unless you buy again. The price you see on the pricing page and on the checkout page is the price you pay; prices are in US dollars. Payments are taken by Waffo as merchant of record, so your card details go to Waffo and never to us. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy, which gives you 14 days to change your mind.
7. Availability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". It depends on third-party AI providers, so readings may occasionally fail, be delayed, or be unavailable. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may change or discontinue features.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dream Memos is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, including any decision you make on the basis of a reading. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Ending your access
You may stop using Dream Memos at any time, and may delete your account and its data from the account page. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top will change with them, and significant changes will be announced on the site rather than edited in silently.
