Waite-Smith 塔罗(1909)

The Star

The Star shows a woman pouring water to earth and to sea, one foot on land, beneath a great star and seven smaller ones. It is hope after the worst has passed.

She represents restored faith — the quiet confidence that follows descent. She appears after loss, when meaning begins to return. Her gift is serenity, not excitement.

文化与传统的读法

In the traditional reading the Star is loss and abandonment, but also hope and bright prospects. It has long been read as the calm after the storm, and by reversal as arrogance or impotence. The star is the guide that remains when the tower has fallen.

常见问题

Is the Star a positive card?

Yes — it is hope and renewal after difficulty. Even its older "loss" reading points to the calm that follows.

Star vs the Sun?

The Star is hope regained in quiet; the Sun is fulfillment in the open. One is the first light, the other is full day.
